Charity Partners

CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) - Our Charity Partner for 2020

At the start of every year, NGP chooses a great cause to partner with and offer our support to for the next 12 months. We aim to raise as much as possible for our charity partner but we don't stop there. We love to partner with great causes where we aren't just providing financial support, where we are able to take a hands-on approach too.

Each member of the NGP team is given the ability to take time out of work to use for volunteering for our charity partner.

NGP have selected CALM as our Charity Partner for 2020. Please take a moment to read about the work they do.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and the cause of 18 deaths every day.

What CALM does

Frontline services
Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat – 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about life’s problems. CALM support those bereaved by suicide, through the Support After Suicide Partnership (SASP).

Together we’ll help our parents, siblings, partners, friends and colleagues. CALM spread the message and facilitate, universities, pubs, clubs and prisons across the country – so that people feel empowered to share their experiences and get the help they need before they reach the point of crisis.

Everyone has a part to play. CALM campaigns with media partners, brands and ambassadors to spread awareness of suicide and its devastating impact with campaigns like #Project84, #DontBottleItUp and The Best Man Project. CALM challenges boring male stereotypes and encourage positive behavioural change and help-seeking behaviour, using cultural touch points like art, music, sport and comedy.
