Senior Software Developer for a leading US-Based laboratory

Role:
My client is a US leader within the Healthcare industry, established for over 40 years and has played a vital role in the fight against COVID-19. Their research, development and testing have helped healthcare providers and patients make confident healthcare decisions over the years.
They are currently looking for a Senior Software Developer with Java experience and extensive knowledge of software development to join their team. As a Senior Software Developer, you would be able to develop new and modify existing applications and systems, including the translation of laboratory requirements into technical specifications for development and the support of existing legacy systems. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with clinical scientists, IT, and R&D teams to collaborate on large scale projects supporting the growing genomics initiatives.
The Senior Software Developer must have the following experience:
· 7+ years of software development
· 5+ years of Java
· Strong rules engines
· Azure/AWS or cloud-based services
· Creating and maintaining software documentation in a regulatory environment
The ideal Senior Software Developer would also have:
· Building continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins/TeamCity/etc.)
· Demonstrated Linux command-line proficiency and Python or another major scripting language
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field
· Healthcare industry background
Desirable Requirements:
· RESTful web services (JSON)
· Software project management systems/concepts (JIRA, Kanban, etc.)
· Docker
· Genomic or next -generation sequencing data Dev operation
