Salesforce Admin/Release Manager

The Role:
They are looking for a Release Manager responsible for planning, building and running change procedures for the Salesforce Platform. They are looking for a Release Manager to be in charge of planning, developing, and implementing change procedures for the Salesforce Platform. The Release Engineer's primary responsibility will be to ensure that all aspects of platform change are addressed operationally. The goal is to provide a disciplined process for controlling, executing, and ensuring that all required changes to the IT application environment are documented and adhere to appropriate policies while causing the least amount of disruption to ongoing operations.
SOME SALESFORCE ADMIN/RELEASE MANAGER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
· Overall ownership of Salesforce core clouds including but limited to Health Cloud (for Sales and Service), Commerce Cloud, and Experience Cloud
· Plan and execute scheduled releases
· Define and manage change control processes for development
· Facilitate release activities across all Salesforce development
· Track release metrics to drive improvement and report successes/failures to stakeholders
· Documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation
· Allocate environments for projects and oversee maintenance activities for the duration of the project
· Perform risk analysis, develop contingency plans, and gather data from functions
· Define and ensure best practices are embraced and rolled out to drive scalability
· Represent release priorities and align team members through rapid changes
· Monitor environment capacity and manage changes to keep capacity aligned with demand
· Work closely with the development team(s) to resolve build problems/merge conflicts
· Oversee pre and post-release tasks to ensure adherence to quality control processes
· Responsible for maintaining consistency between Salesforce sandbox environments, from Development through QA, UAT and Production
· Partner with key stakeholders to define release plans for upcoming releases
· Manage deployments between sandbox environments
· Partner with compliance to ensure data is managed appropriately and protected
· Support the development operations structure and audit needs
THE IDEAL SALESFORCE ADMIN/RELEASE MANAGER MUST HAVE:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field
· Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer preferred
· 5+ years of Configuration/Release Management experience with tools like Copado
· Experience with BitBucket
· Salesforce CLI and Visual Studio code
· Salesforce Development Lifecycle and continuous delivery/integration (CI/CD)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated commitment to service and quality
· Ability to use Microsoft Office applications effectively
· Experience with fast and agile release cycles
